A private graveside service for Margaret Cottrell, 93, formerly of Granville, will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville, with Rev. Karen Chakoian officiating.
Mrs. Cottrell passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born June 7, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Susan H. (Hellman) and Albert F. Brady.
Retiring to Florida, Margaret enjoyed traveling with her husband Sid throughout the United States as a representative for Carriage International.
An avid volunteer, Margaret was a member of Thrift Shop Twig in Granville and she volunteered many hours in the activity department at the Outdoor Resort of Orlando. She was also an avid crafter, and a devoted wife and mother. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and the difference she made in someone’s life every day.
Surviving are her; son and daughter-in-law, Sidney M. and Terri Cottrell of Hemet, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Signe and Paul Stephens of Apopka, FL, and Susan and Larry Ward of Howard; grandchildren and their spouses, Scott Roberts, Steve and Jamie Roberts, Beth (Roberts) and Robert Porter, Chad Cottrell , Chaun and Adrienne Cottrell, Andre and Amber Cottrell, Drew and Karen Ward, and Laura (Ward) and Jim Parnell; great-grandchildren, Lee, Joe and David Roberts, Sidney Cottrell, and Brittney Porter; great- great-grandchildren, Chloe and Tyson Roberts, Addison and A J Cottrell, Cas Cottrell, Noah, Connor and Madeline Roberts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Sidney A. Cottrell and one grandson Troy Cottrell.
