I am so sorry for your loss. I was a classmate of Carol. We started the BS/MD program together at Kent State. During our first summer we had many early morning runs together while training for the Columbus Marathon. Over the years I lost touch but I never forgot what a wonderful warm person she was. I just finished chemotherapy for Hodgkin's lymphoma and I know how difficult chronic illnesses as well as deaths can be on the family. My prayers are to her entire family. I have never met you but I am sure she would only be surrounded by kind people like herself. RIP

Carol was a classmate of mine at NEOUCOM. I still remember the conversation when she told me that she was going to specialize in pediatric oncology. I was overawed by her commitment to children' health, and she remains an inspiration. I wish to extend my deepest sympathies. I am so very sorry for the loss, for both the family and the community.

To Carol's family:
Carol & I were in the same class at Kent and NEOUCOM. We were such good friends, especially in our last year of undergrad. I have thought about her since then and wondered how things have been. I was so terribly saddened when I saw the notice of her passing in the alumni magazine today. I wanted you all to know how incredibly fortunate you are to have had such a bright light of a soul in your lives. Carol radiated positivity, and uplifted everyone around her. The posted video is a beautiful tribute to her life. Her spirit will always be nearby and her love is everlasting. Much love to all of you.

Carol was an amazing teacher and physician, who I was so lucky to have had the privilege of being trained by, for my hematology-oncology fellowship. I "inherited" many of her patients who had nothing but love and appreciation for her. I am so sorry for your loss.
