Robert R Cotsamire

Robert “Bob” Cotsamire, 80, of Granville, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Riverside Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was born in 1936 to the late Roy and Garnetta Cotsamire in Bucyrus, Ohio. Bob retired from pharmaceutical sales with Rhone-Poulenc Rorer in 1991 after a 38 year career.

Bob was fascinated with all things scientific and was a passionate learner. When something needed repair or a question needed an answer, he was the one to ask. Bob proudly earned his pilot’s license and was also a ham radio operator. He enjoyed music, travel, and sharing a good joke or a bad pun. Above all, he loved his family and never hesitated to let them know.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Jane; daughters and sons-in-law, Katrina and Hans Dreyer and Gretchen and Matt Caldwell; grandchildren, Dan and Brooke Dreyer, Gwen Dreyer, Tom and Grace Dreyer; great granddaughter, Jenna Lynn; brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Pat Cotsamire; and brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, and many loyal longtime friends. He enjoyed getting to know the wonderful staff and his neighbors at Kendal at Granville.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Rulison.

A memorial service honoring Bob’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. October 22, 2016 at Centenary United Methodist Church, 102 E. Broadway, Granville, OH with Rev. Casey Wilson as celebrant.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pipe Organ Restoration Fund at Centenary U.M. Church, American Cancer Society, or the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.
