Carolyn Gamble

A memorial service honoring the life of Carolyn B. Gamble, 89, of Granville, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 110 W. Broadway, Granville with Rev. Karen J. Chakoian as celebrant.  The family will receive friends in Heritage Hall at the church following the service. Private interment services will be held at College Cemetery, Denison University.

A retired first grade teacher with Granville Schools, Carolyn passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Kendal at Granville.

Carolyn was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Granville Music Club, Twig 19, PEO Chapter AB, and was instrumental in founding Friends of the Library for the Granville Public Library. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education from The Ohio State University and above all delighted in children and loved each one of them. She was recognized for her contributions to education by being inducted in the Judy VanTine Outstanding Educator Hall of Fame by Granville Schools in 2001.

Surviving are her husband Dr. Trevor Gamble; children, Trevor (Kim) Gamble Jr., Becky (Doug) Pyle, and Melinda Lovern; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by one daughter and five siblings.
