I am so sorry to hear about Ed's passing. His sense of humor and his eager pursuit of lifelong learning were the first two things that came to mind when I heard the news on Sunday and looked for details of a service online. I am so glad now to see those highlighted in his obituary. I knew Ed in part through Jean, another lifelong learner whose passion for plants brought her into my advanced botany class at Denison, but also as a faithful attendee of the monthly seminars of the Denison Scientific Association once it was revived. I will miss you, my friend.
