Stanley Petryk

A private graveside with full military honors will be held for Stanley Petryk, 90, of Granville, formerly of Cleveland, at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.

A retired pharmaceutical representative with Parke Davis, Stanley passed away October 31, 2018 at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newark. He was born at Mine 48, West Virginia to the late Zigmont and Caroline Pietryczk.

After graduating from Brookville High School in 1946, Stanley served in the Navy as an Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class and then earned his degree in psychology from Youngstown State. A member of the Church of St. Edward the Confessor, Stanley enjoyed golfing, camping, bowling, gardening, tinkering with cars, playing pinochle, and watching all Cleveland professional sports. 

Surviving are his sons and their spouses, Michael K., Thomas K. (Amy), and Andrew K. (Eileen); grandchildren, Chay, Drew, Kyle, Evan, Laurel, Emma, and Grace; four, great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, George.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret who died in 2007; siblings, John, Steve, Edward, Helen, Leon, and Joseph; and sister-in-law, Myrna.
