Barbara Theresa Graham, age 80, of Newark, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Licking Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born May 1, 1946 in The Bronx, New York to the late Edward and Leah (Buckstein) Bain.
Barb received an associates degree from Columbus State, worked as a Teachers Aide for Granville Schools, Secretary for the Aladdin Shriners Potentate and retired from Lucent Technologies as a Materials Analyst. She was a former member of Ohev Israel Temple in Newark and was very active in TWIGS #6 for many years. An avid golfer, she and her husband golfed all over the United States. She was the only woman to ever be honored by the Granville Men’s Golf Association for her contributions. She and her husband also enjoyed bowling.
In her generous nature, Barb gave the gift of sight to others by being an eye donor.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jack R. Graham, whom she married September 2, 1966; two children, Troy (Debbie) Graham of Newark and Kristy (Shane) Kamer of Black Mountain, North Carolina; granddaughters, Jillian Graham and Haleigh Kamer; brothers, Trevor (Helena) Bain of Atlanta, Georgia and Alan Bain of Oxon Hill, Maryland; brother-in-law Jeff (Vicki) Graham of Newark; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Jill (Graham) Zaras.
Memorial contributions may be made to TWIGS #6 or to Lifeline of Ohio.
A celebration of Barb’s life will be held by the family at a later date. Private inurnment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Granville.
