Brent Christopher Bennett, age 76, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 15, 2025, at Licking Memorial Hospital, following a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Newark, Ohio, on October 8, 1949. His loving parents were June Chester Bennett and Donald Neal Bennett.
Brent was a 1967 graduate of Granville High School, where he played baseball and proudly served as manager of the Blue Ace basketball team. He continued his education at Miami University.
Brent enjoyed a successful career working for Borden Foods and Coco Lopez, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Brent was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan and a die-hard supporter of the Cincinnati Reds. He was a fun-loving individual with a creative spirit, once entering the Key West Ernest Hemingway Look-Alike Competition. He also had a special affinity for dogs, which brought him great joy throughout his life.
He is survived by his siblings: B. Timothy Bennett (Rose) of Leland, North Carolina; B. Kevin Bennett of Columbus, Ohio; Gwen Price (Charlie) of Vero Beach, Florida; Todd Bennett of Newark, Ohio; Bruce Bennett (Sarah) of Newark, Ohio; Leslie Barbacci (Joseph) of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and Jonathan Bennett of Granville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
