Edwin Tremain (“Trump”) Bradley, Jr died on May 27 th , 2025. He was born on July 19, 1937 in New York City to Edwin Tremain Bradley, Sr and Leonie Danforth Bradley. He grew up in New Canaan, CT, graduated from Westminster School and earned degrees at the University of Rhode Island and the University of Illinois. His career included time at Owens Corning (Newark), Union Fork and Hoe, and Executive Jet. In 1973 he opened an accounting/consulting business for small businesses in partnership with General Business Services.
Trump was by nature a man of adventure and of unlimited curiosity about how things work. He relished repairing watches, maintaining a home generator, plowing through deep snow to see how much it took to stop his VW bus, even doing a bit of bilge work on board his beloved sailboat, “Wydendown,” He loved off-road exploration, skiing black diamonds, and sailing in Maine fog.
Trump was a man of humility and generosity. He rarely looked back but always focused on the present. He dedicated himself to his family and community. He showed grace when he could have been angry, never held a grudge, and loved laughter. He served the Center for Disability, the Granville First Presbyterian Church, and Granville Rotary for decades. He always had animals in his care – cats, dogs, turtles, lizards. Most especially he loved his neighbors, Westminster classmates and his siblings making a point to initiate regular contact with them. Trump was a man of determination. He spoke up about the things that were important to him and kept quiet about the rest. When his body began to give out, he made a conscious decision to take it “like a man.” He said “growing old is not for sissies” and went forward with strength and patience determined to enjoy what he could, laugh when possible, and leave the rest behind.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Harris Bradley, his two children – Stephen (Jennifer) Bradley and Julie (Ken)Barker, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three siblings - Leonie Griswald, Sally Nelson, and Danforth Bradley. Special thanks goes to Gary Harkin for the dedication, love, and generosity he poured into Trump during his last months.
