A private family memorial service will be held for Floyd R. Moyer, 88, of Granville. Floyd passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 14, 2014. He was born in Searcy, Arkansas on June 18, 1925 to the late Hobson and Florence Cunningham Moyer.
A WWII veteran, Floyd served his country in the Army Air Corps. He was an electrical engineer who began his career with Western Electric and retired from A.T.&T. in Columbus in 1982.
Floyd will be remembered as a loving husband and father who loved his family. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Patsy Moyer; sons, Roderick Moyer of California and Bradford Moyer of Granville; five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by one son, James T. Moyer and two brothers, Clarence and Harvey.
