Gary W. Burger

Gary W. Burger, 82, of Columbus, passed away August 31, 2022 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hopsice of Central Ohio, in Newark. He was born in Jewett, Ohio to the late Albert C. and Dorothy (Cochenour) Burger.

A graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Engineering, Gary enjoyed a career as an engineer working with Korda Engineering and Ohio Power. He enjoyed his time residing in Florida and loved animals, especially dogs and cats.

Surviving are his wife, Cherlyn; daughter, Amanda Allen; stepdaughters, Valerie Childress, Kristin Hartman, and Ann-Marie Walters; six grandchildren; and sister, Sandra Meacham.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelley Jo Burger Miller and his sisters, Sylvia Meyers and Diane Hickman.
