Jill Lee Shaffer, born on August 9, 1954, in Coshocton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, at the age of 70. Jill was a beloved stepmother, sister, and stepgrandmother, whose life was marked by her dedication to family, her career, and her many passions.

Jill's career as an Operations Manager was distinguished by her excellence and leadership at Morgan Stanley, where she managed operations for the largest producing Smith Barney Investment firm in the United States, based in Menlo Park, California. Her professional expertise and commitment earned her numerous credentials and respect within her field.

Beyond her professional life, Jill was a devoted member of St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church. She was also known for her culinary skills, her love for gardening, and her talent in floral arranging and interior decorating, which brought joy and beauty to those around her.

Jill is survived by her loving husband, Joseph A. Zarr; cherished step-daughters, Kara Zarr and Kendra (Josh) Simon; her loving sister, Jan Shaffer; and her treasured step-grandchildren, Wellington and Madeline. She joins her parents, Allen D. Shaffer and Martha J. Shaffer, who preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date to honor Jill's remarkable journey and the impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215, reflecting Jill's compassionate spirit and dedication to meaningful causes.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and kindness during this time. Arrangements are in the care of McPeek Hoekstra Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, ensuring Jill receives the tribute she so greatly deserves.
