Karen K. Burger age 82, of Granville passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2026. She was born January 14, 1944, in Newark, Ohio, to the late Ira and Faye Pimm. She graduated from Licking Valley High School and later earned a nursing degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Karen found her true passion in real estate. She began her career in 1974 and later founded Burger & Rector Real Estate, which she successfully operated for many years. She continued her career with Hugh Price & Associates, Howard Hanna working up to the day of her passing. Karen was very dedicated to her community, serving on various local boards.
Karen lived life in full color—always on the move, always surrounded by people she loved, and never one to pass up a good gathering. She adored her family and friends and never missed a chance for a new adventure. Her kindness touched many hearts, her parties brought joy and laughter, and her spirited, sassy charm will be remembered with both smiles and love.
Karen was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelley J. Miller (2021); the father of her children, Gary W. Burger (2023); and siblings, Betty M. Pimm (2016) and Richard Pimm (2009).
Karen is survived by her daughter, Amanda “Mandy” and Scott Allen of Gahanna; her sister, Judy Metelko; grandchildren, Noah Miller, Miles Allen, Cierra Miller, and Dominic Miller; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
