Raymond Joseph Paumier, age 63, of Granville passed away peacefully in his sleep. Born March 10, 1963, in Canton, Ohio to the late Rose and Joseph Paumier, the sixth of eight siblings. Ray graduated from Canton South H.S. and The Ohio State University. Working his way through college, Ray had a unique respect and deep appreciation of education.

Ray learned about the construction business in Houston, Texas before moving back to Ohio to work as an electrician for Safeway Electric. For the next 16 years he was VP of Operations for PMMG. More recently, he dedicated himself to serving his community through his work for the Food Pantry Network of Licking County.

Ray is survived by his two devoted sons, William Joseph and Andrew James, both of whom reside in the Pacific Northwest, and their mother, Katy Paumier. Siblings are Teresa (Paumier) Cusma (Patrick), Paul Paumier (deceased), Phil Paumier (Donna Raymond), Ken Paumier (Lauren Gould), Vince Paumier (Mary), Don Paumier, and Dave Paumier (Nancy Strening).

Ray was an avid reader, a youth soccer coach, and a great chef. He always enjoyed a good conversation and was an especially proud gardener.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Church of St. Edward the Confessor, 785 Newark Granville Road, Granville, Ohio 43023 with Monsignor Paul P. Enke as celebrant, where visitation will be held one hour prior from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. at church.

In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation can be made to the Food Pantry Network of Licking County.
