Deborah L. Martin

A funeral service celebrating the life of Deborah L. Martin, 61, formerly of Granville, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Second Baptist Church, 19 W. National Drive, Newark, with Pastor Bob Davidson as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Social distancing and masks will be required.

A retired dispatcher and hard worker, Debbie passed away February 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Cherry Point, NC to the late John Sullivan and Shirley A. Sullivan. She and her late husband Marty owned and operated Martin Trucking.

After graduating from Granville High School in 1978, Debbie served in the Army for 6 and half years. She enjoyed life and kept active traveling. She also enjoyed football, especially the Bengals, NASCAR, and was a member of Second Baptist Church where she participated in the church outreach program. She will be remembered for her orneriness, pleasant smile, and love of family.

In addition to her mother, Debbie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Janice Sullivan; aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
