Obituary

A private memorial service celebrating the life of Elizabeth A. Fose, 99, formerly of Granville, will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church, 1137 Sharon Valley Rd., Newark with Rev. Mark Hartsough as celebrant. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Granville

A retired educator, Betty taught in Fort Wayne, Detroit, and in New York. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Arnold and Wilhelmina Dahlke. She passed away February 23, 2023 at Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newark.

In addition to teaching at parochial schools, Betty was past president of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, member of New Hope Church where she taught Sunday school, very spiritual, and also a member of Newark Maennerchor. She was vivacious and young at heart, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was very artistic. She will be remembered for her beautiful creations and talented sewing skills, a loving mother, and friend to many.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; son, Robert; and brother, Arnold.
