Everett Comfort Obituary

Everett E. Comfort, 70, who was born in Cheboygan, Michigan passed away on November 5, 2021 in Granville, Ohio. He grew up in Onaway, Mi. where he graduated from Onaway High School in 1969. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was honored with two bronze stars.

Everett loved the Three Stooges, John Wayne movies, being outdoors in nature, and above all, selflessly doing for others. His pure and genuine heart and ability to laugh aloud was most endearing and he will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him.

Recently, Everett became a member of The Family Worship Center where he could enjoy worshipping the Lord from his recliner. He was strong in his faith and was always praying for his miracle. God’s perfect plan was to give him his wings.

Surviving are the love of his life and wife, Toni Comfort; her three sons, Clayton (Courtney), Ashton and Zachary Plute, whom he loved like his own; his three beautiful and talented daughters, Chandi Cameron (Rob), Rhondi Budnik (Joe) and Shaina Comfort (Bobby McConnell III), whom he spoke about with such love and admiration; they collectively gave him seven awesome grandchildren, Trinitey, Cole, Levi, Austyn, Jennica, Svannah and Svea, who were his pride and joy and he was eagerly awaiting a new one on the way; brothers, Ronald (Therese) Comfort, and Nick (Ann) Comfort; sisters; Sandra Freel and Rebecca (Alger) Arkwood; sister-in-law, Jan Comfort; Uncle, Albert Comfort; Aunts, Mary Ann Stockwell and Lucille Price; many special nieces and nephews; and friends and co-workers from Rauhorn Electric in Michigan, where he retired in 2017.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Comfort; siblings, Sally (Ronald) Beatty and Donald Comfort; brother in law, Dean Freel; and infant brother, Craig Comfort.

A celebration of Everett’s life will be determined at a later date. In his honor, consider blessing each day with a grateful heart cherishing the moments you have with your loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, State of Ohio, Chalmers P. Wylie Ambulatory Care Center, 420 N. James Rd, Columbus, OH 43219.
