Gerald Storer Obituary

Gerald (Jerry) Eugene Storer was born on 8 Jul 1943 in Newark, Ohio, to Harry and Genevieve (Allen) Storer.  Jerry graduated from Newark High School, served in the Army as a military policeman, and returned to work at Newark Air Force Base until it closed.

Jerry was a superior golfer and enjoyed league golf with his friends.  A skilled athlete, he played high school baseball and football, later participated in 5k races, and continued running throughout his life.  Jerry was a crossword puzzle wizard, a Civil War buff, and an adventurous road trip driver.  He and his wife Susan enjoyed road trips to parks and Civil War battlegrounds, with many spontaneous side trips along the way.  They also loved gardening, making improvements to their home, and caring for their cats. Jerry's warm smile and quick wit delighted his family and friends.

Surviving are his daughters, Lori Romshe and Julie Spellman; stepdaughter, Kimberly Hondel; stepsons, W. John Hondel and Michael Hondel; several grandchildren; and sister, Judy Quinn.

Jerry will be interred alongside Susan at a private graveside service that will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Jacksontown with military honors rendered by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
