Mary Ann Boardway

Mary Ann Boardway, age 87, of Granville passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 15, 2024.  She was born June 13, 1936, in Angola, Indiana to the late Frank J. and Mary A. (Yauch) Fast.

Mary Ann was a 1954 graduate of Angola High School in Indiana.

She worked as a secretary at both Granville Elementary School and Welsh Hills School.  Mary Ann was very active in her church, First Presbyterian Church of Granville.  She also donated countless hours to Twig.

Mary Ann was a homemaker who was very involved with her children’s activities and clubs.  She cherished her family.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Lynn (Jim Garrett) Boardway  and all her siblings, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 69 years, R. Michael Boardway Jr.; daughter, Pam Magelaner; son, Ed (Terri) Boardway; 4 granddaughters and 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 18, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church, 110 W. Broadway Street, Granville, Ohio with Pastor Wendy McCormick officiating.  Burial Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.
