Obituary

Phyllis J. Bebee, a woman of intelligence, integrity, and love of people passed away March 3, 2023 at her home in Granville. She was 76.

Born in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas D. and Marjorie Condon, Phyllis was a graduate of Millikan High School and Long Beach City College. She enjoyed a career in real estate selling homes in Long Beach, California where she had lived for over 65 years.

Phyllis was a competitive bowler, had a passion for tennis, loved traveling, and was a passionate Buckeye fan. She was a voracious reader, student of linguistics, and a talented creative writer. Music and dancing were her favorite pursuits. Her presence would light up a room and her kind and caring nature was evident when socializing with her many friends. She will be remembered for her love of family, dedication to her classmates, and as a proud American. Phyllis’ life was an example of love.

Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Gary C. Bebee; daughters, Brit (John) Montrella and Felisa (Robert) Hegner; step son, Steven (Katherine) Bebee; grandchildren, Ian, Aaron, Elliot, Kate, Oliver, Alexis, Savanna, Meghan, and Sarah; great granddaughters, Liliah and Julianna; sister-in-law, Vicki Bebee Graham; brothers-in-law, Bruce (Gail) Bebee, Brian (Donna) Bebee, and Brent (Toni) Bebee; dear friends, Sharon, Lisa, Judy, and Dimple; special sister, Joyce; special cousin, Larry Bebee; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by two sisters, and her faithful canine Spencer.

A private celebration of Phyllis’ life has been planned. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mcpeekhoekstra.com.
