Recently heard about Gina's passing. Unfortunately we lost touch over the years but she was a dear friend in high school and we shared many laughs and giggles. Kind dear soul with a wonderful smile. Sending prayers and sympathy to her family, may your wonderful memories replace the sorrow in your hearts.

I was so saddened to learn of Regina's untimely passing. She will be missed by so many here in the College of Education at East Carolina University but also throughout many communities where students and others had the privilege to know her. She always had a smile for everyone.

I'm so very sorry I was not able to attend on Saturday. Your mom was such a lovely woman -- a warm, thoughtful, and generous soul. She was loved by many and will be missed by many (but I believe her legacy of warmth, thoughtfulness and generosity will be living on in all of you). May you all be blessed at this difficult time.

I will miss Regina's understanding, intelligent and wise counsel. I will miss her inspiring example in overcoming adversity, even this last one for a very long time. I will miss fascinating and transformative conversations. I will miss her warmth. Most of all, I will miss the rest of her life unlived. It helps to recall how very fully she lived the first half, how much love and guidance she gave, and how much pleasure she got out of living. My deepest condolences to Maya, Matthew and Gabriella. Please stay in touch.

I am so sorry for this loss. Regina was a strong, kind, passionate person. I always respected how she stood up for her beliefs and looked out for others. It was an honor to know her personally and professionally. She will be missed.
